ALEX BIRD & The Jazz Mavericks
2 x JUNO Nominated artists for Best Vocal Jazz Album
Join THE SPIRE in welcoming 2 x JUNO nominated ALEX BIRD & THE JAZZ MAVERICKS for an evening of jazz as Alex blends the soulful influence of legends like Tony Bennett with his own groundbreaking, original compositions.
Growing up in the heart of the city’s jazz scene and refined by a career in film and classical theatre, Alex Bird brings a storytelling depth that is rare in modern music.
Fresh off his 2025 Bossa Nova collaboration with Latin Grammy winner Cheo, Bird continues to rewrite the textbook for vocal jazz with a style described by Downbeat Magazine as an “elegant, romantic gem.”
This evening is a unique opportunity to experience one of Canada’s most exciting jazz voices in an intimate, setting. Whether you are a long-time fan or discovering his cinematic sound for the first time, join us for an afternoon of heartfelt melodies that bridge the gap between jazz’s golden era and its vibrant future.
Alex will be accompanied by Ewen Farncombe and The Jazz Mavericks.
Brought to you by CROWN Production, the producers of Elvis & Co, the leading Canadian Elvis festival brand, licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
